The mission of the West Montgomery Educational Foundation is to provide a balanced curriculum which allows each student the opportunity to achieve full potential and maximize mental, physical, social and emotional growth. Students will be provided opportunities to develop self-confidence through acquired knowledge, applied skills, and desirable character traits in a sound academic environment.

A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.

Students learn best when they have appropriate opportunities for success and can apply their learning in meaningful contexts.

Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process through a variety of instructional approaches that support their learning.

Students should be able to demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills, and be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.

Assessments of student learning should be consistent and include a variety of challenging methods that will not only demonstrate their achievements, but increase their individual performance.

There should be an understanding that consistent discipline procedures between the home and school is an important process of maintaining student order and mutual respect.

The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative in our school if it is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.
